10- Korean men care women’s character

Inclination, personality, worldview…

 various factors consisting of a person’s inner space can be summarized in one word, “character.”

According to a survey of the year 2017, in Korea, men marry in 32.9,

 and women marry 30.2 respectively.

This means they lived in an entirely different world before they meet and marry their spouse, which tells us the character is a critical matter concerning marriage.

Then, how much Korean men care women’s character

when they choose their spouse?

Couple.net of Sunoo, the matchmaking company,

for the last ten years, surveyed 41,036 single men of Couple.net members from 121 countries including Korea

(33,159 Korean and 7,877 non-Korean) to find men’s preference on spouse.

The survey firstly analyzes the matching preferences and presents the four criteria: financial status, physical appearance, family background, and character. The total number of these four criteria is 100, and these four criteria tell us how much men care for each criterion.

According to the result of the survey,

Korean men care her physical appearance 31.4%> character 28.4% > financial status 21.4% > family background (18.8)

Non-Korean men care her physical appearance 29.7% > character 28.8% > financial status 23.0% > family background (18.4)

In other words,

Koran men care women’s character as the next most important matter of their spouse.

One thing interesting is,

Korean men and non-Korean men all share similar priorities and importance.

The look goes first, and the character comes next!
