As the Trade Show Manager, you will lead a dynamic team that drives sales and nurtures strong buyer relationships through in-house meetings, trade show participation, and consistent communication. Your primary focus will be maintaining robust buyer connections, driving sales during trade shows, prioritizing product knowledge and customer service, and fostering exceptional teamwork and communication. This position demands a true multitasker with a robust sales background, outstanding communication skills, team management capabilities, and a goal-oriented mindset.
Trade show Manager
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently coordinate across departments for seamless trade show preparation and execution.
- Take charge of sample preparation procedures to meet all shipping deadlines.
- Develop and execute promotional marketing plans, coordinate visuals, and oversee product merchandising for upcoming shows.
- Lead the hiring process for trade show sales reps.
- Generate comprehensive sales and expense reports and analyze data from prior trade shows to strategize for upcoming events.
- Participate in sales meetings to ensure style quality, optimize sales of new products and in-stock items, and complete purchase orders by collaborating with customer service.
- Foster strong working relationships with buyers and internal/external vendors.
- Led the in-house team to ensure safety, uphold excellence, and maximize sales during trade shows from setup to breakdown.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work directly with Design/PO/Production, Director of Operation, and other Team Managers
- Strong team building, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead the trade show team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Capability to occasionally stand for more than 8 hours a day during trade shows
- More than 5 years of women’s wholesale apparel trade show experience and a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Willingness to travel up to 20 weeks a year (domestically)
