Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our finance team, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP). This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting overall accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (Primary Focus):
Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
Manage vendor onboarding and maintain up-to-date records
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, check)
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Ensure proper coding of expenses and adherence to company policies
General Accounting Support:
Assist with month-end close (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries)
Support inventory and cost of goods tracking in coordination with operations
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Assist with audits and external reporting requirements
Qualifications
2–5 years of accounting experience (AP-heavy preferred)
Experience in apparel, wholesale, or inventory-based business is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., AIMS360) is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Compensation
$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
